Naij TikTok is different. It's the funniest place to be doom scrolling. The comment sections, the viral sounds that somehow end up in your day-to-day dictionary, the jokes that just hit different. I'd be there laughing by myself thinking, damn, something like this needs to exist. A game that runs on your inside jokes. There's literally no better feeling.
And it makes sense for us. Naij culture runs on call and response. Every hypeman, every MC, every artist, there's always something to respond to. But the games out right now? Culturally inclined, sure, but none of them are about what's actually trending today. It's all outdated stuff. Nothing for people like me. The chronically online genz Nigerians, or honestly anyone with a naij side to their feed who actually enjoys the scroll.
So I built Dey Play. It takes the emotions you feel scrolling and brings them to life, except now you're not alone in your bed at 2am. You're with your friends, in real life, competing to see who's funnier. Your everyday slang, the sounds you grew up on, that one inside joke that became part of how your group talks. It's all in the game. No props, no setup, just your phone and your people.
